DayCup is made by Ming and shared through SideCourt. This policy covers the iPhone app and the web edition.
No account or data collection
DayCup uses rules bundled with the app to calculate starting recipes. It has no account, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK, AI requests, or automatic upload of coffee records. We do not collect your equipment, beans, photos, recipes, tasting notes or feedback.
Storage on your device
The iPhone app keeps its library in its own local website data store. The web edition stores it in the browser profile you use. Records are not automatically synced between the app, browsers or devices. Uninstalling the app or clearing its local data can remove your library. Your iPhone may include app data in device backups according to your Apple settings.
Photos and camera
Photos are optional. DayCup processes, crops and compresses selected photos locally to help you recognize a bag. It requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo; you can decline and continue using the app. Photos are included in an exported backup. Removing or replacing a photo removes it from the current library, but does not change earlier backups.
Backups and deletion
You choose where to save or share a JSON backup using Files or the system share sheet. The destination receives the file only when you complete that action. Exported JSON is not encrypted by DayCup. Keep it somewhere you trust. You can clear the current library from My data; delete separate exported files and device backups yourself when needed. Without a backup, deleted records cannot be restored.
Web hosting and links
Opening the web edition requests static application files from the SideCourt host and its infrastructure providers, which may retain ordinary access logs. A SideCourt subpath shares its security origin with other trusted SideCourt pages. Manufacturer links open only when you choose them and are governed by the destination's policy. The iPhone app bundles its coffee interface and works without contacting a server.
